Pirita House

The constant increase in population in large urban centers makes the available space, every day, a scarce resource. Therefore, the fundamental premise of the project for this small apartment, located in Madrid near the Manzanares River, is to make the most of the limited available surface.

To achieve this, we resorted to a spatial restructuring of the different rooms, grouping the sleeping area on the first floor and thus freeing up space on the lower floor to expand the day program. This operation, together with greater connection between the apartment and the terrace, increases the sensation of spatial amplitude while maximizing the entry of natural light.

This transformation is complemented by the intense integration of furniture, which allows for increased storage in the apartment, distribution of spaces, and greater warmth.
