Context is key when considering the remodeling of this apartment, located on the fifth floor of a 1960´s tower of Rational architecture in front of Albufereta beach. The spectacular views looking out over the Mediterranean Sea and to the city of Alicante beg for an intense relationship with the exterior.
The search for a greater spatial continuity with the elimination of many of the interior divisions, together with the strengthening of existing views through large glass openings, are the two strategies that lead the proposal.
With this in mind, the day area is organized as a large open space, in which the layout of the structural iron and the proposed furniture establish the relationships between the different living areas. A large cabinet partition delimits the sleeping area and as well solves part of the facilities and anticipated storage requirements.
Materials proposed for the flooring and walls are in neutral colors and textures, thus allowing the spectacular view to be the protagonist. The use of natural wood furniture brings a touch of warmth and color to the home.
